I have just recently moved to Hernando County, last September, from New Hampshire. I used a dropshot rig, quite alot for smallmouth bass. Down here in Florida, obviously there are only Largemouth Bass down here. Whats the set up i should be using to dropshot for these largemouth bass? I have heard mixed reviews. Should i be using a Baitcasting set up, or a spinning rod set up? Should i go to a heavier leader, such as like 12-15 Lb test flourocarbon, or keep it around 10 lb test FC? I'm not looking to throw into timber and etc, mostly grass. I know back home, we also used what we called a "Heavy Dropshot" for LM fishing, which was on a Baitcasting set up, so basically just trying to find out what lines i should be using, down here for the leader. I have Braid as my main line.
